45 Section 1 Lawyers' Code:
"A lawyer's best advertisement is the quality of the legal services he provides."
- The potential for successful enforcement of any legal claim depends upon the client providing frank and full information.
- We will always attempt the impossible - miracles take a little longer.
- Being in the right does not always guarantee obtaining one's rights.
- The best results are achieved only when lawyer and client work together.
e do not attempt to provide the answers to legal problems on our home page, since every case merits and receives individual attention and consideration and appropriate proposals for resolution.
Guidelines for client service:
- The client is encouraged to become actively involved. A client's financial situation will always be an essential factor in the selection of the appropriate legal remedy. The client must feel comfortable with the selected means of proceeding, but at the same time maximum flexibility is essential.
- In the case of civil disputes, the decision to go to Court is often a major hurdle. The legal advisor stands by the client at this point to take away some of the anxiety, to strengthen his resolve, but also to point out to him potential risks of which he may not have been aware.
- General experience shows that the costs of legal action as a means of resolving a conflict can be very hard to evaluate. For this reason, going to court should always be considered a last resort. A conscientious legal advisor is therefore only able to recommend going to court where a client is in a financial position to sustain the costs of potentially losing the case.
What do we recommend to a client who, having encountered legal problems, is on the point of engaging a lawyer?
The most important point is to ensure that legal assistance is sought in good time. Investment in sound advice avoids risks, spares the nerves and saves time.
Examples:
- Professional examination or preparation of contracts may help to prevent conflicts arising in the first place.
- After clarification and identification of the problem, securing evidence in good time is the way to prepare for any settlement, be it in court or out of court.
- Even your legal protection insurance policy should be checked by a professional representative before you sign it!
